Door County Art
Audrey Mae Off was born in Sturgeon Bay, the county seat of beautiful Door County, Wisconsin. Her art reflects a profound influence of water and nature. She resides on the family farm, a stone's throw from the Sturgeon Bay Ship Canal.
At an early age , Audrey showed great interest in drawing and painting, making becoming an artist her concentration through high school and college. She attended the University of Wisconsin and graduated with a degree in Communications and Visual Arts.
During this time Audrey's painting style emerged and she excelled in watercolor, oil, acrylic, and mixed-media art. She has worked in graphic arts, such as lithography, intaglio, and serigraphy. Incorporating real rocks, sand and trees into paintings satisfies her desire to work in 3 dimensions, building up sculptural relief paintings with a "super real" look. The view gives the feeling of being on location and allows one to experience a little piece of nature.
On the technical side, Audrey has long been established as an expert custom framer and gallery coordinator. Her publishing company creates Giclee' reproductions of her art, custom designed for clients, and sized to fit their setting. She has exhibited her artwork throughout Wisconsin, receiving merit and purchase awards.
